KFC looks to be serious about entering the gaming industry after announcing a console which features an inbuilt ‘chicken chamber’ to keep food warm.
The fast food chain initially teased the console on social media in June, but many people passed it off as a spoof marketing campaign.
Now KFC has apparently followethd rough on the idea, teaming up with computer hardware manufacturer Cooler Master to create the KFConsole, which is shaped like a Bargain Bucket.
“We’re so pleased to finally give the fans exactly what they wanted; making the KFConsole a reality,” KFC spokesperson Mark Cheevers said.
The KFConsole features a custom-built heating system designed to keep fried chicken at a good temperature while customers are gaming.
It’s also said to be able to handle the latest virtual reality games and offer up to 240 frames per second at 4K resolution, although the tech specs have not been disclosed.
“This machine is capable of running games at top-level specs, all on top of keeping your meal warm for you to enjoy during your gaming experience… what’s not to like?” Cheevers added.
