EastEnders’ Jessie Wallace left fans gobsmacked recently when she left an explicit comment on co-star Max Bowden’s Instagram page.
The actor, who famously plays Kat Slater in the BBC soap, was reacting to a paparazzi shot from the National Television Awards last year that 26-year-old Bowden, who portrays Ben Mitchell, shared to his followers on Wednesday, May 19.
“Been a lifetime since this photo [three grimacing emojis],” he captioned the image before 49-year-old Wallace took to the comments section to write: “Remember… if you need a m***e to cry on…. I’m yer gal.”
She rounded off the reply with a wink face emoji.
Many were confused as to what Wallace meant at first. Others, however, were tickled pink by the X-rated remark.
“Haha such a supportive m***e [grinning squinting emoji] We all definitely need one of those,” an amused fan wrote, as another laughed: “I’m definitely using this as a pick up line. Cheers Jess.”
“I am speechless and laughing at the same time xxxx I love the love and banter between EastEnders cast it makes me smile,” a third added, while a fourth said: “Hahahaha I choked on my green bean when I saw this.”
While the NSFW statement proved entertaining for plenty of his followers, Bowden himself has yet to react to Wallace’s cheeky offer publicly.
