Gordy Young is the weather anchor for 16 Morning News and NewsCenter 16 at WNDU-TV. In 1978, he accepted his first job in broadcasting as an announcer with WNNO-FM Radio in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. From there, Young's radio career took him to Madison, Wis., where he worked at several stations before landing his first television job as a host for a children's cartoon show on WMSN-TV in 1986.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Young attended Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill. He is married with two children. In his spare time, Young enjoys ping-pong, genealogy, and the guitar. He also collects antique radios and television sets.
