Shawn Yancy is an anchor for Fox 5 News during the evenings at WTTG-TV. She joined the station in 2001. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior to joining Fox 5, Yancy anchored weekend evenings and reported on general assignments at WTAE-TV, the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh, Pa. She began her television broadcast career at WKJG-TV, the NBC affiliate in Fort Wayne, Ind. She landed a job right out of college anchoring the news on WFMS-FM radio in Indianapolis. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Yancy received a number of awards while in Pittsburgh, including the Associated Press and Golden Quill awards for reporting on breaking news. She was honored by American Women in Radio and Television as Outstanding Broadcaster of the Year.[CR-LF][CR-LF]She enjoys reading, watching movies and painting. She also loves eating licorice, crab legs and really spicy food. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Yancy is married. She has two sons and a dog, Beamer.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Yancy graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications.
