Gerard Wellbrock served as color analyst for Fort Hays State University from 1992 to 1999 and has also been the school's sports information director. He become the executive producer for the Kansas State Sports Network. Wellbrock has been employed by Eagle Radio of Hays since August 1992 and has been the sports director for Eagle since 1998. Webster has been the voice of the Tigers for the last 14 years and has won 15 broadcasting awards from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. As the play-by-play voice for Hays High School and Thomas More Prep-Marian High School, he received the Oscar Stauffer Award from the Kansas State High School Activities Association in 1996, 1997 and 2000, and he was recognized as Sportscaster of the Year by the Kansas Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association in 1999. The Kansas Association of Broadcasters honored Wellbrock with first place for medium market play-by-play in 1993, 1997 and 2000; for second place medium market play-by-play in 1995; and for first place medium market complete sportscast in 1999. Webster graduated from Tabor College in 1990.
