Minna Sugimoto joined KHNL News 8 in 1998 and covers the crime beat. She has also been a news anchor and reporter on KHNR 650 AM in Honolulu. At KCCN 1429 AM she has hosted a two-hour talk show called Get Fit Hawaii. Her earlier coverage has been in education, parenting and sports. She has covered the University of Hawaii Warrior football. Sugimoto was born and raised in Honolulu and she enjoys playing basketball, tennis and reading. She received her degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
