SEAN WILLIAMS

Sean Williams is a Germany-based Freelance writer and journalist.

I'm an experienced writer, journalist and photographer with years working independently for outlets such as The Economist, The Guardian, Esquire, VICE, OZY and many more. Specialising in in-depth, character-led narrative features, I am also able to gather news whatever the pace, difficulty or danger, and produce quality pictures to accompany my work. Through my work as Europe correspondent for US business site Red Herring I have also built a hefty contacts book in the technology and startup fields, especially within Europe.

In the past years I have travelled to such sensitive regions as South Sudan, Somalia, Burundi, Myanmar, Western Sahara, and have reported extensively across central and eastern Europe from my base in Berlin. I write stories about the people behind the news, but have interviewed heads of state, military commanders and many celebrities.
