As senior editor of the New Republic, Noam Scheiber covers current affairs, international news, national government, national news, and politics. Scheiber, who has been with the publication since 2000, also has contributed to the New York Times Magazine, the Washington Post, Salon, the Washington Monthly, the Chicago Tribune, and the Christian Science Monitor. He is a member of the Tulane University chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the national economics honor society. Scheiber received a bachelors of science in math from Tulane and a master's degree in economics from Oxford University. Personal interests include Russian literature, music, and running. Scheiber, who is fluent in Hebrew, was an adjunct policy analyst for the Government Accountability Project in Washington, D.C.
