Jackie Purcell is the chief meteorologist for 2 News evenings at KTUU-TV. She joined the news team in1990 as the full-time weatherperson. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Purcell started her career in 1984 at a small radio station in Chickasha, Okla. She returned to Alaska in 1985, and worked her way through radio and television.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Purcell is married to a former Channel 2 photographer; they have three cats. She grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Purcell holds a degree in communications and a minor in political science from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash.
