Mr. Prior Verified

As a research director, Derek Prior brings more than 28 years of experience in enterprise applications to AMR Research. His primary responsibility is to expand AMR Research's coverage into the many operational and technical challenges faced by end users throughout the lifecycle of SAP and other key ERP applications. Prior is considered a thought leader on key ERP technical and operational issues some of which include platform performance, infrastructure, and relationship strategies.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior began his career in the United Kingdom as a real-time systems engineer in process control. Before joining AMR Research, he spent six years at Gartner as a recognized international SAP expert. He spent 17 years at Hewlett-Packard, where he initially focused on process control, quality management and computer integrated manufacturing applications. Prior then played a leading role in the development of a highly successful partnership between Hewlett-Packard and SAP in the United Kingdom, when the R/3 business application was first launched.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior has advised many of clients on SAP systems since R/3 was first introduced in 1992, written extensively on the topic, and spoken at numerous international conferences. He holds a BS in chemical engineering and fuel technology and a PhD in the mathematical modelling of combustion-generated air pollution, both from the University of Sheffield.
