Mr. Perry Verified

Michael Perry has been a co-host of the ?Perry & Price? show on KSSK-FM radio, Honolulu, since 1983 and executive producer and host of ?Hawaiian Moving Company? since 1980. Perry took over the ?Moving Company? after its first two seasons and transformed it from a disco show to its present traveling magazine format, originating from KGMB. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Together with Price, Perry was named Radio Personality of the Year by Billboard, and recipient of the Sales and Marketing Executives of Honolulu 2000 Salesperson of the Year award. Ranking number one in Hawaii as on-air personalities, the two have also hosted a three-hour Saturday morning show from The Sheraton Waikiki Hotel since 1988. Perry also does television commercials and has performed in the movie ?Molokai: The Father Damien Story? (1998) and television series, including "One West Waikiki,? "Jake and the Fatman,? "Island Son," and "Blood and Orchids.? [CR-LF][CR-LF]Born in Detroit, Michigan, Perry was raised in Arlington, VA, served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Pacific Submarine Force, and worked in the Pentagon and the Office of the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare for John Gardner before settling in Hawaii in 1972. Perry?s previous radio experience includes college radio at WILS in Lansing, Michigan, and KKUA in Honolulu.
