Mr. Nussbaum Verified

Dave Nussbaum joined the WBRZ team in December 2003. As a WBRZ Weather 2 Louisiana meteorologist, he informs the public of severe weather activity, visits the local schools and also assists with WeatherNet 2. Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, his interest in television started early. After earning a bachelor's of science from California University of Pennsylvania in earth science with an emphasis in operational meteorology, he went on to Mississippi State University, where he earned a master's degree in geosciences with an emphasis in broadcast meteorology. Nussbaum interned at WPXI-TV, an NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While at Mississippi State, he did Web cast weather and WOBV-TV Weather in Starkville, Mississippi. He became the morning meteorologist at WSEE-TV, a CBS affiliate in Erie, Pennsylvania. Nussbaum resides in Baton Rouge. He enjoys running and storm chasing in the Great Plains. He is an Eagle Scout, and is a member of the American Meteorological Society, as well as the National Weather Association.
