Rick Mecklenburg is truly a homegrown meteorologist. He spent much of his youth in South Bend and Niles and, because of it, nobody knows the area better than Rick. Rick knows where Tiosa, IN is and that there is a LaGrange in MI. He knows the area, and he knows the challenges of forecasting the weather. Rick began working at 22WSBT in 1996. He became chief meteorologist in 1998 and says that working in his hometown is a "dream come true." Rick plans to be at 22WSBT for a very long time. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association, and holds their seals of approval as well.
