Claude F. Meares is the editor-in-chief of Bioconjugate Chemistry, a scientific journal. He is the co-founder of the Lexrite Labs Inc. and a leader in cancer research and development. He has been a professor in the department of chemistry at the University of California since 1972. He has written over 200 publications in the fields of biconjugate chemistry and molecular biology. He has prepared new anticancer agents by combining the radioactive isotopes with Monoclonal antibodies at the California Regional Primate Research Center. He is a member of Scientific Advisory Board NeoRx Corporation and a member on the board of Antisoma Plc, a biopharmaceutical company. He completed his Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of California.
