Peter Mantius became editor of the Business Journal in March 2008.[CR-LF][CR-LF]According to the Business Journal's website:[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Mantius previously led the Long Island Business News and was a financial and political reporter at the Atlanta Constitution for 17 years. Mr. Mantius has been covering business since the 1980s and is a three-time Pulitzer nominee, regional first-place winner of a Society for Professional Journalists business writing award, and first-place winner of two Associated Press awards. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He holds two journalism degrees: a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master's degree from Ohio State University, where he was a Kiplinger Fellow. [CR-LF][CR-LF]In addition to a number of journalism awards, Mr. Mantius also wrote a book, "Shell Game." The book exposed America's role in helping an obscure Italian bank funnel more than $4 billion to Iraq's Saddam Hussein during the buildup to the first Gulf War.
