Dan Lyons was named technology editor for the Boston bureau when Newsweek reformatted in May 2009. He writes a personal technology blog called 'RealDan.'[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Lyons previously wrote columns about businesses in the technology market for the magazine. He spent 10 years as a senior editor for Forbes, covering tech trends, operating services, and the Internet. He launched 'The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs' blog, based on his fake Steve Jobs persona. Mr. Lyons had also been a freelance journalist at DJL Industries, a senior writer for PC Week, and taught at the universities of Michigan and Toledo.[CR-LF][CR-LF]He is the author of the novel "Dog Days" and the short stories collection "The Last Good Man." In 1996, he was named one of the Fabulous 52 in the Best Young American Novelists competition. He also received a National Endowment for the Arts Literary Fellowship and the Playboy College Fiction Prize.
