feature on many international networks. She is also the Irish Correspondent for
China Global Television Network (CGTN) where she regularly reports across a
range of programmes for CGTN's three global bureaus: Beijing, Washington DC,
and Nairobi.
For more than 13 years, Lourda has reported, anchored and
produced breaking and developing international news stories for many of the
world's leading television and radio networks. She's interviewed Presidents,
Prime Ministers and leading newsmakers around the globe. She's covered conflict
and uprisings, elections and referendums and has a strong background in current
affairs and business news stories.
Her most recent coverage includes the UK referendum on
Brexit and its impact on Ireland as well as the ongoing political developments
in Northern Ireland.
She is highly knowledgeable in international business,
current affairs, and emerging markets. Lourda has a deep knowledge of the Irish
market and also has extensive experience reporting from across the world. She
spent eight years reporting in the Middle East across Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain,
Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
Previously, Lourda reported for 7 National News on Dubai's
City 7 TV and presented on Dubai Eye radio. She presented and co presented
across a variety of Dubai Eye's radio programmes including the UAE’s flagship
business show the business breakfast.
She began her career as an International Correspondent
responsible for producing business and economic country features for The Times
(UK), the Washington Post (US) and Forbes Magazine (US).
She has an Master of Business Studies in Marketing
Management from Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin and a
Bachelor of Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
