Joshua Kurlantzick is a special correspondent for The New Republic. He covers mostly foreign affairs and federal government issues. In addition to his position with The New Republic, he is a visiting scholar in the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's China program, where he covers Asian affairs. He is also a contributing writer for Mother Jones.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Kurlantzick is also a fellow at the USC School of Public Diplomacy and the Pacific Council on International Policy. He graduated from Haverford college.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior to working for TNR, Kurlantzick covered international economics and trade for U.S. News and World Report. Before that, he covered Southeast Asia for The Economist as a correspondent based in Bangkok, Thailand. In addition to his work for these publications, Kurlantzick has written for magazines and journals including Foreign Affairs, The Washington Quarterly, World Policy Journal, The Atlantic Monthly, and Current History.
