Seven-time Emmy Award winner, Paul Konrad joined the WGN-TV Morning News team as a weathercaster/reporter in August 1996. Konrad?s most recent Emmy Award was won in 2002 for Outstanding Achievement in the sports program ?Wouldn?t You Like to be a Wiener, Too?? Konrad came to WGN-TV from WFTS-TV, the ABC affiliate in Tampa, Florida, where he worked for two years as a weathercaster. Prior to that, he worked at CLTV as a weathercaster from 1992-1994. He also previously worked in Montgomery, Alabama for the CBS affiliate (WAKA-TV). A Chicago native, Konrad grew up in Naperville, Illinois, graduated from DePaul Goodman School of Drama and went on to complete his masters in Speech, Radio, Television, and Film from Northwestern University. He studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.
