Kelly Klaas has won numerous awards from the Idaho State Broadcasters Association through the years for his news and agricultural reporting as well as commercial writing and production. He started his career in radio at the young age of 16 while still a Junior in high school at KEEP radio. That station eventually evolved into what is now KEZJ-FM, KLIX-AM and KLIX-FM (KOOL Oldies 96.5). He has been in radio since then with the exception of an 8 year lapse when he farmed the family farm southwest of Twin Falls. Kelly's wife, Connie, is a teacher in the Jerome school district and he has three children, three grandchildren and two dogs. He enjoys many hobbies and often complains of not having enough time to enjoy them all. His hobbies include woodworking, computers, ham radio (K7SU) and riding his Harley motorcycle
