Joseph Logan is a producer and reporter for ABC News and
other broadcasters and print organs based in Istanbul, Turkey. He previously
worked as a correspondent for Reuters in Istanbul, deputy bureau chief for
Lebanon and Syria, and correspondent in Baghdad between 2000-2005; and as
senior correspondent Gulf with assignments in Libya, Yemen, Oman and Lebanon in
2011-2012. He completed an M.A. in the University of Chicago's Department of
Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, focusing on modern Middle Eastern
history and Arabic literature, and is a fluent speaker of Turkish and Arabic..
