Mr. Jordan Verified

Robert H. Jordan, Jr., is a weekend anchor for WGN-TV; he also produces, writes and reports news stories for weekday and weekend news. Jordan's television career began in 1970 at WSM-TV in Nashville, Tenn., where he served as a both an announcer and anchored an early morning variety show. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Jordan first joined WGN-TV in 1973 as a general assignment reporter and he also served as an anchor for the daytime news. He left WGN-TV in 1978 and joined the CBS News Midwest Bureau in Chicago, where he worked two years as a reporter. He then returned to WGN-TV in 1980.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Among the work Jordan has completed at WGN-TV are several documentaries and news series. He has written two screenplays, "Anthony's Key" and "Multi-Man". Jordan has also written articles for the Chicago Tribune. As an active participant in the community, Jordan serves on the Board of Directors of several local organizations including the Chicago Lung Association, Evanston Hospital Corporation, Chicago Sinfonietta and the Shedd Aquarium. [CR-LF][CR-LF]A native of Atlanta, Jordan graduated with a Master of Arts degree from Northeastern Illinois University in May 1994 with a degree in Speech, and his Bachelors degree in General Studies from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He received his Ph.D in Philosophy of Education with a minor in Ethics from Loyola in May 1999.
