Mr. Hogan Verified

Kevin Hogan has been covering news in Connecticut for over 31 years. In addition to working radio news and local cable TV-10, he also interned at WNEW-TV 5 New York and the ten o'clock news with Bill Jorgensen. In 1979, Mr. Hogan landed a morning news anchor slot at WELI-TV in New Haven. A year later he became news director for two stations in New Haven, WAVZ-TV & WKCI-TV. In 1997, WFSB-TV Channel 3 chose him to act as the station's special correspondent to cover the Pope's historic trip to Cuba. Shortly after that, he became a permanent part of the station working as an anchor and reporter. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Hogan won several broadcast awards from the Associated Press and the Radio Television News Directors Association. He enjoys running, kayaking, gardening, automobile restoration, and is currently doing a ground up restoration on a 1959 MGA Roadster. Mr. Hogan resides in Connecticut. He was born in New Haven and raised in Ansonia and his love for television came at a young age. While growing up, playing with reel to reel recorders and CB radios was a favorite past time. [CR-LF][CR-LF]After high school, he continued his education at Western Connecticut State University where he joined the news department of WXCI-FM, the college's radio station.
