Jon Hilsenrath is the chief economics correspondent for the Washington, D.C. bureau of the Wall Street Journal. He focuses particularly on the Federal Reserve. He covers major developments in the the U.S. economy as well as worldwide, and contributes to WSJ.com's Real Time Economics site.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Hilsenrath was previously the markets editor for the Wall Street Journal, focusing on the stock market and Wall Street. He has also served as an economics reporter in New York and Hong Kong. Before joining the Journal, Mr. Hilsenrath was a senior financial correspondent for Knight-Ridder in Washington.[CR-LF][CR-LF]He holds an MBA and a master's in journalism from Columbia University, where he was a Knight-Bagehot Fellow. He earned his bachelor's degree from Duke University, where he studied political science.
