Dan Hellie is a sports anchor for News 4 Weekends at WRC-TV. He joined the station in January of 2003. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He was previously a sports director and anchor for WFTV-TV in Orlando, Fla. Prior to that, Hellie worked for WPTV-TV. He landed his first on-air job in Alexandria, Minn., as a news/sports reporter. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He was born in the Philippines, but was raised in Gaithersburg, Md. In his spare time, Hellie enjoys football, basketball, and golf. He also likes going to the beach and playing with his dog.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Hellie attended the University of Tennessee, graduating in 1997.
