Prior to her assignment in Washington, Brooke Hart anchored NBC 17 News at 5. She was Texas anchor and reporter for KTXS-12, Abilene. Hart began her career in her home state of California, as an anchor and reporter for KAEF-TV in Eureka. Her first work in journalism included internships at MacNeil-Lehrer News Hour, CNN, and National Public Radio. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Hart was a paralegal in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. She worked as the government's paralegal in the federal criminal civil rights prosecution of the LAPD officers who beat Rodney King. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Hart graduated from Stanford University.
