Sean Hackett is a program manager for the IT Outsourcing and Utility Services research program. He covers the market for large-scale IS outsourcing, network and desktop outsourcing (NDOS), and application outsourcing and emerging outsourcing models such as utility computing, or on-demand services, as well as online virtual services. While there, he conducted research on managed network services, competitive positioning and the partnering strategies for telecommunications services providers. Before joining the Yankee Group, Hackett was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, where he consulted to a variety of F500 companies on the optimal deployment and management of their IT resources. Hackett also worked at Breakaway Solutions, a start-up ASP and Consulting firm, as a managing consultant in the company's strategy practice.
