Michael Gerard joined IDC in 2003 as the Research Director for the CMO Advisory service. He has worked in international marketing and strategic planning in the high technology industry since the late 1990s. Previously, he worked in marketing at Kenan, a division of Lucent Technologies, and for Billing World as an IP services expert. He has also held senior marketing roles at Prospero and the Microelectronics division of Millipore.
