Karen Fuller co-anchors KCTV5's weeknight newscasts. She joined the station in October of 2003. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior to KCTV-TV, she was an anchor and reporter for KATV-TV in Little Rock, Ark. She began her career as a weekend anchor for KIMT-TV in Mason City, Iowa, and was quickly promoted to weekday morning and noon anchor.[CR-LF][CR-LF]She has been nominated for three Emmy awards, and is the recipient of an award by the Society of Professional Journalists in the category of enterprise reporting. She has also covered stories in the Ivory Coast, Italy and Cuba, as well as having the responsibility for coverage of the 1996 Democratic National Convention.[CR-LF][CR-LF]A native of Jonesboro, Ark., she earned her bachelor's degree in radio/television from Drake University, located in Des Moines, Iowa. She is married with two children. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, aerobics, reading, fishing and traveling.
