Tom Fitzgerald joined Fox 5 News in 2003. He reports on everything including hard news and crime, politics, the environment, science and consumer technology issues. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Fitzgerald got his start at WBJB-FM radio, an NPR affiliate in Middletown, NJ. He later joined TV34 News in Monmouth, NJ where he covered the New Jersey state house, political campaigns, and several major storms that damaged coastal towns. He came to Fox 5 from News 12 New Jersey where he reported and anchored. He also hosted the weekend political talk show "Roundtable". Fitzgerald has covered the 9/11 attacks at both the World Trade Center in New York City, and at the Pentagon. He has also reported from several Republican and Democratic National Conventions. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Fitzgerald is a 2006 Emmy Award recipient for his investigation into the reasons behind a rise in fatal pedestrian accidents.
