Peter Breslow is the supervising senior producer for National Public Radio's newsmagazine 'Weekend Edition Saturday.' He has been with the program since 1992, when he returned to NPR after a one-year William Benton fellowship at the University of Chicago. Before the fellowship, Breslow was a producer for NPR's 'All Things Considered.' He joined NPR in 1982 as a production assistant for that show. Before coming to NPR, Breslow worked as a freelance writer and English teacher. In 1981, he worked briefly as a scriptwriter and outdoor commentator for the former Enterprise Radio Sports Network. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Breslow is the recipient of three Overseas Press Club awards; a 1992 Benton Fellowship in Broadcast Journalism; and a 1991 gold Cindy Award from the Association of Visual Communicators for 'Grapes of Wrath,' a radio documentary revisiting John Steinbeck's America. He also won a Peabody Award for his 1988 series, 'Cowboys on Everest.' He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.
