Gerald Bodlander has served in various capacities for AP Radio for over 20 years, including serving as a general assignment reporter and supervisor. He has covered the most important worldwide events over the past two decades for AP Radio. He reported on the release of American hostages in Iran and Lebanon, numerous Olympic games, political conventions, and plane crashes. Bodlander was among some of the first journalists to enter Kuwait after its liberation in the Gulf War and was part of a team of AP Radio reporters who won an AP award for their coverage. Before coming to AP Radio, Bodlander worked at WGNY in Newburgh, N.Y. Bodlander has a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University in TV-Radio News and Political Science and a Master of Arts from American University in Journalism and Public Affairs.
