Ms. Arakawa Verified

Adele Arakawa currently anchors the 5, 6 and 10PM news at KUSA-TV. She has been in broadcasting since 1974, with a start in radio. She spent 7 years in radio, including radio news at WYSH-AM and WRJZ-AM. Ms. Arakawa made her move to television in 1981, working at WTVK-TV where she worked as a video photographer, reporter, producer and news anchor. She then moved to WRAL-TV, followed by WBBM-TV. She has been with KUSA-TV for more than a decade, anchoring the evening newscasts. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Ms. Arakawa has received 5 regional Emmys in the Heartland Region NATAS awards, including 3 for best anchor.
